Sticklebook Bookshelf

Part of a series of objects relating to books and reading, Sticklebook is an invisible shelving system. The product creates the visual removal of any supporting structure for the books: a line of books appears to hang, unsupported, on the wall. Sticklebook is intended for use with paperbacks which have been read and transposes the familiar sight of the tower of paperbacks onto the wall.

The books are held in place by an ingenious combed strip and extrusion that grips the pages and cover of the books. Books are easily tapped onto the comb teeth and are gripped securely. Gusto gives equal importance to the design of what you do not see - the illusionary quality and gestural function of this product are its essence.

500mm in length, silver anodised finish with a capacity of approximately 10 to 13 paperbacks, each Sticklebook is packaged in a gift box with wall fixings and instructions enclosed.
